Privacy Policy

What this is

Veyra Sky comes in two forms: this website and the iOS app. They are separate products with very different data postures, so this policy covers each one on its own. It is written plainly because the subject is not complicated.

The short version: the iOS app collects nothing and runs fully offline. The website collects only what a newsletter and a Veyra Plus web account require. Everything below about accounts and Supabase applies to the website only.

The iOS app

Veyra Sky for iOS collects no data. The app makes no network requests, contains no analytics or tracking, and has no accounts. Your chart data is stored in the app's local container and is never available to Veyra. You can choose to export selected information using Calendar, the clipboard, or the system share sheet.

Your name, birth date, time, and place are stored in the app's local container and used to calculate your charts and prepare personalized content on-device. Veyra has no server and never receives this data. Apple device backup may include the app's protected local data according to your backup and encryption settings so it can be restored to your device; Veyra cannot access or control that copy.

Birth-place and timezone lookup uses a city database bundled inside the app, so resolving a city requires no internet connection and sends no query to any service.

Veyra Plus is a one-time purchase through Apple. Historical subscribers keep access while Apple reports a verified current entitlement. Payment is handled entirely by the App Store under Apple's privacy policy; the app never sees your payment details or Apple Account information. The app only checks verified entitlements on-device through Apple's StoreKit framework.

If you choose to export a public sky event or a personal transit, the app requests write-only Calendar access and adds only the event you selected or the rolling 30-day transit batch you confirmed. Personal-transit entries contain the chosen astrological contact and exact time derived from your chart, but omit your name, birth date, birth time, birthplace, coordinates, and other chart positions. Events are added to your default iOS calendar and may be visible to anyone who shares that calendar. Veyra never reads your calendar or transmits Calendar data.

When you tap Share reading, the system share sheet receives your chart name, full localized birth date and time, and the chart-derived reading. Only the app or person you choose receives the shared text. That destination handles it under its own privacy policy. Veyra does not upload the reading or receive a copy. Review the personal details before sharing.

Explore Your Chart prepares prompts and chart references entirely on-device. Only when you tap Copy does Veyra write the selected text to the system clipboard. Prompt and reference copies omit your name, birth date, birth time, birthplace, and coordinates; relationship prompts omit those details for both people. Calculated chart positions or contacts may still reveal personal information. The clipboard may sync to your other Apple devices through Universal Clipboard if enabled. Veyra does not read your clipboard or send text to an AI provider. If you paste it into another app, that app receives the text under its own privacy policy. External answers are not produced or verified by Veyra.

A few screens link to web pages, such as this policy or open-data attributions. Links open in your browser; the app itself still makes no network requests.

Deleting the app deletes its local data from that device. There is no Veyra account to close and no Veyra server copy to request. Apple-managed device backups remain subject to your Apple backup and retention settings. If a future feature ever changes this posture, for example optional iCloud sync, this policy and the App Store privacy label will be updated first, and the feature will be opt-in.

What we collect on the website

This section applies to the website only. The iOS app collects nothing (see above).

If you subscribe to the Veyra Sky newsletter, your email address is collected and passed to Beehiiv, the platform that delivers the newsletter.

If you join Veyra Plus on the website, Veyra also asks for the information needed to create and store your account and natal chart: your email address, birth date, birth time, birth location, and calculated chart data. Veyra Plus access uses Supabase for authentication and profile storage. The iOS app does not use Supabase and has no accounts.

How it’s used

Your email address is used for one purpose: delivering the Veyra Sky newsletter. Veyra Plus account and birth data are used to create, save, display, export, and delete your chart and reading inside the product. None of this is used for advertising, and it is not shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-party services

Newsletter delivery is handled by Beehiiv. Their privacy policy governs how they store and process subscriber data. Veyra Sky does not retain a separate newsletter list beyond what Beehiiv holds. Veyra Plus authentication and saved chart data are handled by Supabase. These third-party services are used by the website only; the iOS app integrates none of them and talks to no server.

Veyra Plus subscription payments are processed by Stripe. Veyra Sky never sees or stores your payment card details; they are handled entirely by Stripe under their own privacy policy.

Vercel hosts the website. Veyra operates the isolated chart-calculation service on its own secured virtual private server. Location search text is sent to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service so the birth-place field can return matching cities. These providers may process data in the United States or other regions where they operate, subject to their contractual and legal transfer safeguards.

Retention and security

Veyra Plus account, chart, reading, and saved-moment data are kept while your account exists so the service can provide them to you. Deleting your account removes those application records and asks the authentication provider to remove the account. Billing and transaction records may be retained by Stripe or where required for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, or legal compliance. Operational logs are retained only for the period configured with the hosting providers and are not used for advertising.

Access controls, encrypted transport, provider-managed encryption at rest, rate limits, and restricted administrative credentials are used to protect the service. No internet service can promise perfect security. Suspected privacy or security incidents can be reported to the contact below and will be investigated promptly.

Your choices and rights

Veyra Plus members can download their application data and delete their account from the Profile page. You may also ask to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of personal information by contacting Veyra. Rights vary by jurisdiction, and identity may need to be verified before a request is completed.

Age requirement

Veyra Plus is intended for adults aged 18 and older. The service is not directed to children, and Veyra does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact Veyra if you believe a child has supplied personal information.

Your data is not sold

Veyra Sky does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone. Full stop.

Unsubscribing

Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. Clicking it removes you from the list immediately. You can also email us directly to request removal. Veyra Plus users can export or delete their saved profile from the Veyra Plus profile page.

Cookies

The website uses only essential cookies needed for Veyra Plus sign-in and session security. It does not use analytics or advertising cookies.
