The word worth keeping is station. Mercury is not suddenly racing. Around the exact moment it is nearly still against the zodiac, and a slow planet weighs heavily — its themes feel unusually concentrated, hanging on a single degree for days. So the direct station is not a green light so much as a clearing of the fog.
What Mercury was reviewing
Mercury is the thinking function of the chart: perception, reasoning, language, messages, short journeys, agreements, and the small machinery that lets a day run. Across the retrograde, that whole domain turned inward — rereading, reconsidering, reconnecting, repairing. The misread message, the plan that needed another pass, the decision you were right to hold: these were the retrograde's material.
The direct station does not erase that work. It gathers it. The planet of exchange has done its accounting, and now it reopens the market. Whatever finally resolves or returns right at the pivot tends to be the headline of the whole cycle — the thing the review was really about.
Re-entry, not catch-up
The temptation at the direct station is to sprint — to treat three deliberate weeks as lost time and make them up at speed. That is the one move the moment punishes. The systems that snagged during the retrograde snagged under pressure; rebuilding them in a rush reproduces the very conditions that broke them.
So move, but move from better information. This is the moment to enact the revisions the review produced: send the cleaned-up message, confirm the renegotiated plan, restart the conversation that needed restarting. The mind has finished doubling back; let it act on what it found rather than abandon the findings in a hurry to feel fast again.
There is also a tail to the cycle. Mercury still has to re-cross the degrees it retraced before it is fully in new territory. Early in that stretch, enacting the revisions works best; the genuinely new departures — the fresh launch, the first-time agreement — settle more cleanly once Mercury is back at full speed in sky it has not walked this season.
