The waning square
A Last Quarter Moon arrives when the Moon has fallen a quarter-turn behind the Sun — 90° back, its light shrinking each night toward the dark. That 90° is a square, the aspect of friction, but a waning one: it no longer presses a thing forward, it presses to set things down. The tradition reads this as a reckoning about what was learned — and in Sagittarius, what gets released is not the knowledge of the cycle but the assumptions that preceded it: the beliefs already running before the cycle began, which the cycle's experience has confirmed or quietly refuted.
Sagittarius Moon, Pisces Sun — one ruler
At a Last Quarter in Sagittarius, the Moon is in Sagittarius and the Sun is in Pisces. Both are mutable signs at the seasons' turn, and they share a ruler: Jupiter governs both. Working the release
Assess honestly what you believed at the start of the cycle and what you believe now. What was confirmed? What quietly shifted?
